According to reports, after many days of heavy rain, on September 17, the locality received information about cracks and subsidence on the concrete road in residential group 10 Dak Ha.

Through inspection, the road is about 350m long, with steep terrain and directly connected to National Highway 28. About 8 horizontal cracks appear on the road surface, the crack points are about 10-15m apart.

Cracks on the road are about 15-20cm wide, 20-30cm deep, with locations up to 50cm deep. Some cracks extend from the road surface to production land, while adjacent fields also show cracks and local subsidence.

By the time of reporting, no damage to people, houses and other works has been recorded. Initial impacts are concentrated on the road surface and part of production land.

Bac Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee assessed that prolonged heavy rain caused the soil to be waterlogged, reducing stability. The steep terrain and clay-shaped soil also increased the risk of landslides.

The cracks tend to spread. If the rain continues to last, the area may develop more cracks, subsidence, and landslides.

Immediately after discovering the incident, Bac Gia Nghia Ward People's Committee cordoned off the area, arranged warnings at dangerous locations, and notified people to limit access to cracked and subsided areas and proactively move assets when necessary.

The locality also reviews households, production land and assets at risk of being affected; prepare forces and vehicles to move people to safe places if the situation becomes complicated.

The Ward People's Committee requested the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with the Department of Construction to inspect, survey, and assess the causes, scope and level of landslide risk.

The construction industry is requested to assess the impact on the route, guide immediate technical solutions and study long-term treatment plans.

While waiting for inspection, the locality continues to monitor developments, maintain warnings and proactively respond according to the "4 on-the-spot" motto.
