Hanoi deploys peak period of environmental sanitation, cleaning key areas, serving the 14th National Party Congress.

In order to serve the 14th National Party Congress, Hanoi is implementing peak periods to ensure environmental sanitation 24/24h in key areas, synchronously mobilizing forces and vehicles with the goal of building a green - clean - beautiful Capital.

According to the plan, Hanoi Urban Environment One Member Limited Liability Company (Urenco) and assigned environmental sanitation units will fully arrange manpower and vehicles, strengthen waste collection and transportation, and ensure the reception of all waste generated during the day, so as not to allow stagnation and congestion.

Units proactively coordinate with local authorities to promptly handle waste-generating points; increase workers, modern sweeping trucks, automatic waste collection trucks; install additional public trash cans; organize street washing on main roads and traffic axes, ensuring that streets are always clean and no waste is accumulated.

In the area where the special art program was organized to celebrate the success of the 14th Party Congress at My Dinh National Stadium, environmental sanitation was strengthened before, during and after the event. Cleaning workers were additionally arranged to collect garbage, sweep and dust, and wash roads on Le Duc Tho and Le Quang Dao streets, ensuring that the time does not coincide with regular maintenance shifts. At the same time, public trash cans and mobile toilets were installed to serve delegates, artists, guests and people participating in activities outside the stadium.

In wards and communes in Hanoi City, local authorities are ready to be on duty 24/24h, preventing waste congestion and environmental pollution during the Congress. Waste collection and transportation work is carried out on time, frequency, and technical procedures; environmental pollution "black spots" are strengthened for inspection and thorough handling.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh - Director of Dong Da Branch, the unit has mobilized 100% of its personnel, increased duty shifts, and increased the frequency of sweeping and cleaning on major streets such as Nguyen Chi Thanh, Ton Duc Thang, Xa Dan, Nguyen Thai Hoc... Specialized vehicles operate at full capacity, prioritizing rush hours to restore clean and airy road surfaces.

Sharing from the reality of work, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc (Environment Team No. 10) said that although the workload has increased, workers are all striving to complete their tasks, contributing to preserving the face of the Capital during the important political event of the country.

In Tu Liem ward, which is the venue for the Congress and welcoming activities, local authorities have proactively developed plans to strengthen environmental sanitation on the roads around the event area.

In parallel with that, the work of monitoring, inspecting and handling violations of environmental sanitation is maintained strictly. At the same time, promote propaganda and guide people to dump garbage on time and in the right places, raise awareness of maintaining environmental sanitation, and build a civilized and elegant lifestyle.

With the role of a key unit, Urenco has developed a specific plan, reviewing the entire area, especially key areas and main traffic routes. “Workers are arranged to be increased in shifts and shifts; motorized vehicles such as sweepers, closed garbage collection trucks, and road washing trucks are mobilized to the maximum, ensuring timely collection of all generated waste, not letting it remain overnight,” said a representative of Urenco.
