On October 27, due to prolonged heavy rain, the water in Group 4 and Group 7, in Hoi Nhon village, Ham Liem commune, Lam Dong province rose high, flooding into people's houses, causing flooding of many areas of crops, dragon fruit and rice in the flowering period.
As soon as the news was received, the Ham Liem commune government mobilized military forces, police and organizations to urgently support people to move to a safe place.
By 6:00 p.m. the same day, 11 households had been evacuated to the highlands. Currently, there are still dozens of households in the danger zone, and forces continue to be on duty to support and ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

Mr. Pham Dinh Vuong - Vice Chairman of Ham Liem Commune People's Committee - said that due to heavy rain in the upstream area of Song Quao Lake and the rapid increase in the amount of water flowing in, the commune is urgently implementing response plans.
The locality has deployed forces to be on duty at vulnerable locations and evacuated all people in village 4 - which was directly affected by flooding - to safety.
According to Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, by the afternoon of October 27, the water flow into Song Quao Lake reached a flood peak of 440 m3/s.
To ensure safety for the project and downstream areas, the company announced a plan to regulate water through the overflow of Song Quao Lake (Ham Thuan Bac Commune) from 10:00 p.m. on the same day, with an expected discharge flow of 150 - 300 m3/s depending on the amount of water coming in and the downstream situation.
