Lam Dong - Prolonged heavy rain caused the water level of the Song Quao irrigation lake in Ham Thuan Bac commune to rise, causing flooding and forcing many households to evacuate to safety.

On October 27, due to prolonged heavy rain, the water in Group 4 and Group 7, in Hoi Nhon village, Ham Liem commune, Lam Dong province rose high, flooding into people's houses, causing flooding of many areas of crops, dragon fruit and rice in the flowering period.

As soon as the news was received, the Ham Liem commune government mobilized military forces, police and organizations to urgently support people to move to a safe place.

By 6:00 p.m. the same day, 11 households had been evacuated to the highlands. Currently, there are still dozens of households in the danger zone, and forces continue to be on duty to support and ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

The locality has deployed forces to be on duty at vulnerable locations and evacuated all people in village 4 - which was directly affected by flooding - to safety.

According to Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, by the afternoon of October 27, the water flow into Song Quao Lake reached a flood peak of 440 m3/s.
