Due to the impact of storms in recent times, many hills behind the resettlement area have been eroded, creating a deep frog's jaw at the foot of the negative slope.

In particular, 10 households in lots D1-D10 were seriously affected, and some auxiliary works such as bathrooms and toilets were swept away.
In that situation, the People's Committee of Dam Rong 4 commune (Lam Dong) established an emergency response team, mobilizing police, military and militia forces to be on duty 24/7 to monitor and warn. Therefore, proactively evacuate people from dangerous areas, especially during prolonged storms.

Through the discussion, Mr. Khong Huu Kien - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dam Rong 4 commune - said: Immediately after discovering signs of landslides, we urgently established a team to be on duty, sending forces to be on duty day and night in high-risk areas.
In particular, during storm No. 10, the commune organized the evacuation of 10 households to safe places, resolutely enforcing the evacuation if people did not comply.

Currently, the locality has put up warning signs and put up ropes in the landslide area, absolutely not allowing people to return until safety is ensured. The highest goal is to protect the safety of people's lives and property.
"The People's Committee of the commune has sent a document requesting the Lac Duong Construction Investment Project Management Board and Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to support about 5 billion VND to handle and reinforce dangerous landslides; at the same time, propose specialized departments and branches to re-survey the geology and hydrology of the area, assess the stability of the soil to have a long-term, sustainable treatment plan" - Mr. Kien said.

Following the direction of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Dam Rong 4 Commune People's Committee has erected 20 additional warning signs, deployed 20 militia to be on duty at the scene, closely monitored cracks and subsidence, and was ready to evacuate people when unexpected situations occurred.
For 15 households directly affected, the commune issued Plan No. 14/PA-UBND dated October 17, 2025 to organize emergency evacuation when there is a natural disaster.
At the same time, coordinate with the Lac Duong Investment and Construction Project Management Board and related units to assess the overall area with 48 other households in the risk area.
As Lao Dong reported: The project to arrange residents in the extremely disadvantaged areas of Dung K'No 5 village, Sub-zone 74, Dung K'No commune (old), now in Dam Rong 4 commune, has been implemented since 2017, expected to be completed in 2025.

The project aims to stabilize the lives of 102 households; of which, by June 2025, 73 resettlement plots have been granted, 63 households have built houses and moved in.
However, due to the impact of natural disasters and inadequacies in the construction process, nearly 100 households in Dung K'No 5 village (Dam Rong 4 commune) are facing danger due to increasingly serious landslides and natural disasters.
