On April 1, the Office of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province informed that the Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 584 approving the plan to auction mineral exploitation rights in unexplored areas for 9 filling mines in the whole province.
Land mines in Yen Thuy, Lac Thuy, Kim Boi, Luong Son, Lac Son, Tan Lac, Da Bac, Mai Chau districts and Hoa Binh city will be auctioned in 2025. The total area of the mines is nearly 200 hectares, with an expected reserve of tens of millions of cubic meters of land for filling.
The auction is organized in accordance with the provisions of law, ensuring publicity and transparency. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities for implementation. The estimated implementation cost is more than 538 million VND, spent from the provincial budget.
According to the plan, the auction of the exploitation rights of 9 filling mines will be carried out in 2025. Specifically, the auction documents will be completed in the second quarter and auctions will be held in the third quarter.
In case the auction is unsuccessful or not completed by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province will allow the transition to 2026 and the following years for continued implementation.
According to the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province, the goal of the plan is to exploit mineral resources reasonably and effectively, serve the needs of materials for construction works, and prevent illegal exploitation. The auction of land mines not only creates revenue for the budget but also contributes to restoring order in resource management, towards sustainable development.
