On the afternoon of March 28, Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee (Lam Dong province) said it was mobilizing military forces, police, forest rangers, militia and youth to participate in extinguishing the fire and controlling it.

According to initial information, at about 2:20 pm on the same day, people discovered a forest fire in Sub-area 476 (hamlet 5 Dai Lao, ward 3 Bao Loc), on the top of Bao Loc Pass and quickly reported it to functional agencies.
Immediately after receiving the news, Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee coordinated with the Forest Protection Department, the Command of Area 3 Bao Lam Defense and the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 3 of Lam Dong Police to deploy forces to approach the scene and organize firefighting.

Due to hot, dry weather, accompanied by strong winds, the fire quickly spread over the forest area of Sub-area 476. This area is mainly poor natural forest, with many shrubs, bamboo and reeds, so it is easy to catch fire.
The forces cleared and created firebreaks to cordon off the area, and at the same time used manual means to control the fire.

By about 4 pm on the same day, functional forces had basically cordoned off the forest area where the fire occurred on Bao Loc Pass. However, the fire still broke out fiercely, and a column of smoke rose tens of meters high in the middle of the forest.

Currently, forces are continuing efforts to completely control the fire.
