On July 29, Quang Tin Commune Police (Lam Dong) said that they had coordinated with the local Forest Protection Department and the Nam Cat Tien Protection Forest Management Board to receive, care for and successfully release a long-tailed macaque into the natural forest.
Previously, Mr. V.K. D. (resident of hamlet 4, Quang Tin commune) discovered a monkey individual appearing in a residential area. Instead of expelling it, he quickly reported it to the commune police for functional forces to handle according to regulations.

After receiving it, functional forces quickly deployed measures to arrest the monkey individual; at the same time, conducted health checks and assessed survival ability.
Through inspection, functional forces determined that the monkey was eligible to return to the natural environment. Immediately after that, the animal was released back to the forest safely.
Functional forces also recommend that when people discover stray or injured wild animals, they should immediately notify the functional agencies for rescue and handling in accordance with regulations, and do not arbitrarily raise, buy, sell or transport them illegally.
