On October 4, Mr. Pham Thanh Bac - Chairman of Tuy Phong Commune People's Committee, Lam Dong Province confirmed that water from a chicken farm had just flooded into a ditch.
Initial information about the incident, Mr. Bac said that the lake at the chicken farm overflowed and flowed into the water channel, not the dam broke, as some information spread on social networks.
"This is a preliminary assessment of the incident. A local team came down to survey the scene" - Mr. Bac added.
In the incident, there was also a motorbike swept away by the water but it did not affect the lives of the people.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 2, many people broadcast live and shared photos and videos on social networks and said that the dam broke at the chicken farm in Cay Ca area in Phong Phu commune (old), now Tuy Phong commune.
Water flows strongly from above into the water containing canal, causing people to worry. Many people have rushed to move water pumps along the canal to avoid damage.
