According to a reporter from Lao Dong newspaper, heavy rain on the afternoon of August 5 caused many roads in Dong Nai to be heavily flooded. Many sections were deeply flooded, forcing many cars to turn around, motorbikes were deeply flooded, and had to be pushed on foot.

At Trang Dai intersection between Dong Khoi Street and Bui Trong Nghia Street, water from alleys flows onto the road, causing this section of road to be partially flooded, many motorbikes have to walk, cars are lying motionless due to flooding.

According to records, a lane of Dong Khoi starting from Tan Phong intersection to Tan Trieu ward was completely flooded, motorbikes going in the wrong direction in the remaining lane caused traffic chaos.
