Survey of temporary waste storage plan
On September 11, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province said that the unit will chair a working session with the Department of Finance, Department of Construction, People's Committee of Cam Ly - Da Lat Ward and Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company to discuss a temporary waste storage plan at Cam Ly landfill.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuc - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches, and units inspected the reality at Cam Ly landfill and the planned location for the Solid Waste Treatment Plant project in Lac Duong commune area.
At the inspection, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuc assigned Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company to select a consulting unit according to regulations to survey, determine the scale, scope and total investment to serve the temporary storage of garbage at Cam Ly landfill.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested not to expand the existing Cam Ly landfill, and at the same time determine the storage capacity and items to be invested in, ensuring environmental protection requirements during the temporary waste storage period.
Factory requests temporary suspension from October 1st.
On September 10, Green Energy Environment Co., Ltd. - the investor of Da Lat Waste Treatment Plant - sent a document to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province requesting temporary suspension of factory operation from 0:00 on October 1, 2026.

According to the business, the unit is facing financial difficulties and does not have enough resources to continue to maintain factory operations.
The business said that from January 2026 to now, the payment of waste treatment costs has been difficult and not guaranteed according to regulations. At the same time, the company is under pressure from the judgment enforcement agency.
Previously, Green Energy Environment Co., Ltd. had repeatedly notified the local authorities about the temporary suspension of receiving and treating waste.
Most recently, in mid-June 2026, the enterprise temporarily stopped receiving and treating waste due to financial difficulties.
In 2 days, June 13-14, hundreds of tons of garbage accumulated on the streets of Da Lat area, affecting people's lives, urban aesthetics and local tourism image.
By the afternoon of June 14, Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company had to mobilize about 200 workers and 30 specialized vehicles to collect and treat the amount of accumulated garbage in 5 wards in Da Lat area.
