On June 1, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that Mr. Le Trong Yen - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just signed a document directing the Department of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment and related units to inspect and review the management of domestic solid waste in the province.

According to the direction, functional agencies must clarify the causes, determine the responsibilities of collectives, individuals and heads of relevant localities according to the report content of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
Based on the inspection results, the Department of Home Affairs advises competent authorities to consider and handle according to regulations, especially for cases of delays without legitimate reasons in localities in the Bao Loc area.
Along with that is the risk of affecting environmental sanitation, arising complaints, petitions or disrupting the collection, transportation, and treatment of domestic solid waste.
The Provincial People's Committee requests the Department of Home Affairs to report the implementation results before June 30, 2026.

Previously, on May 28, Friendly Green Environment Joint Stock Company - the operator of Bao Loc Waste Treatment Plant - sent a document to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province proposing to remove some obstacles related to the signing of waste treatment contracts with wards in Bao Loc area.
According to Ms. Vu Thi Ngan Ha - Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Friendly Green Environment Joint Stock Company, receiving and treating waste without sufficient legal basis poses a risk of violations according to current regulations.
At the same time, this situation also causes difficulties for localities in determining volumes and unit prices as a basis for acceptance and payment, directly affecting the operating costs of the plant.
Therefore, businesses request functional agencies to soon remove difficulties and obstacles to ensure that waste collection, transportation and treatment activities in the area are carried out stably and continuously.
