Lam Dong - Heavy rain not only caused landslides but also flooded many roads, water flooded into the houses of dozens of households in Da Huoai district.

On the night of September 17 and early morning of September 18, heavy rains occurred in Madaguoi town and Madaguoi commune (Da Huoai district, Lam Dong), causing severe flooding in many places.

Traffic police are present to regulate and guide traffic safety.

Heavy rains caused water to rise, flooding the streets, entering dozens of households' houses and causing landslides in residential group 9 (Madaguoi town). One household had to evacuate to ensure safety.

In Madaguoi commune, prolonged heavy rain caused provincial road 721 through the commune to be deeply flooded, causing local traffic jams for more than an hour. Many residential roads were also flooded, causing vehicles to stall, making it difficult to travel.

Some houses near the stream were flooded, forcing people to move their belongings to safety; many areas of crops were also submerged.

In addition, the authorities also inspected and assessed the current status of eroded roads at risk of landslides and subsidence in order to take remedial measures.

Currently, localities are also installing barriers and warning signs in areas at risk of landslides and subsidence of roads and streams to ensure people's safety.

Faced with the complicated situation of storms and rains, the People's Committee of Da Huoai district and communes and towns recommend that people be vigilant and promptly respond to floods, flash floods and landslides to ensure the safety of life and property when heavy rains continue to occur.
