Attending the inauguration ceremony of VinFast Ha Tinh electric car factory was Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung.
The electric car factory in Vung Ang is the second production facility to officially come into operation, and is also the 5th project in the factory system being implemented by VinFast globally.
With the construction and installation of factories and machinery in less than 7 months, VinFast Ha Tinh is recognized as one of the automobile factories with extremely fast completion speed.
The factory has a total area of 360,000m2, including the main functional subdivisions of the Han Coat Factory, Son Factory, Assembly Factory, Logistics Factory and Quality Inspection Center. In addition, an auxiliary factory cluster with a total area of 240,000m2 is also under construction and will continue to be expanded in the following years.
VinFast Ha Tinh is invested in equipping the most modern production line in Southeast Asia, with a high level of automation, applying advanced technology from the world's leading partners such as ABB, DÜRR, FANUC, SIEMens...
The entire production process strictly complies with international standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 9001 (Environmental Management System) and IATF 16949 (international Automobile Quality Management System).
In the first phase, the factory has a designed capacity of about 200,000 vehicles/year, equivalent to an average factory speed of 35 vehicles per hour. In the future, the factory will continue to expand to increase capacity, meeting market demand.
In the first phase, to optimize the production line, VinFast Ha Tinh factory will focus on producing small urban electric vehicles such as VF 3, Minio Green, EC Van and some new models in the development roadmap. Products from VinFast Ha Tinh factory not only serve the domestic market but also aim to export to international markets.
The factory is expected to create about 6,000 direct jobs in the first phase and can expand the labor scale to 15,000 people in the future, contributing to solving employment and promoting social security in the locality. At the same time, the presence of VinFast Ha Tinh also creates motivation to attract partner businesses to build factories in industrial parks, form a synchronous supply chain, aiming to increase the localization rate of electric cars to over 80% by 2026.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang - Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup Corporation affirmed: The inauguration of VinFast Ha Tinh factory is an important milestone in VinFast's long-term development strategy and global production scale expansion.
When put into operation, the VinFast Ha Tinh factory will contribute to helping VinFast reach the goal of producing 1 million vehicles per year to meet the increasing demand of the domestic and foreign markets.


In the first 5 months of 2025, VinFast is the car brand with the largest market share in Vietnam, with more than 56,000 cars sold, of which three models VF 3, VF 5 and VF 6 are the best-selling products on the market.
Currently, VinFast has 5 factories being deployed in Vietnam, the US, India and Indonesia. In addition to the two factories in Vietnam, VinFast Hai Phong and VinFast Ha Tinh, have come into operation.
