In the past 24 hours, many areas recorded heavy rainfall, such as Da Huoai 97mm, Bac Gia Nghia 96mm, Suoi Kiet 93mm, Nam Ban Lam Ha 92mm, Dak Mil 87mm and Dam Rong 4 81mm.
Heavy rain caused flooding in Nam Gia Nghia ward, Ta Dung commune, Quang Son, Suoi Kiet, Quang Tin and some other areas.
In Ta Dung commune, 35 households in residential clusters 14, 16, Dak R'mang 1 village were flooded, water flooded into their houses, affecting property.
On traffic routes, 7 deep flooding points appeared from 1 - 3m.
By the end of September 10, some roads were still flooded and unsafe. The locality also recorded 5 taluy landslide points.
In Suoi Kiet commune, water flooded the yard of Suoi Kiet Elementary School from 30 - 40cm, and also caused flooding of the road to Suoi Lao area, affecting travel. About 10ha of crops along Suoi Mo were flooded.
Through review, the whole province has 45 affected houses and about 14.4 hectares of flooded crops.
Water in many rivers and streams rose to 1-2m, causing flooding in coastal residential areas and some people's roads. Preliminary total damage is about 3 billion VND; localities continue to statistics.
Ha Gia Nghia Lake discharges floodwater, warning downstream area
On the afternoon of September 10, Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 3 announced flood discharge from Ha Lake under the Gia Nghia Lake project from 5 pm on the same day according to the approved procedure.
By the afternoon of September 10, the lake water level reached 590.5m, with the risk of flooding the residential area near the old Gia Nghia bus station area. The management unit implemented flood discharge by gradually opening the valve.
Dong Gia Nghia ward is forecast to be a heavily affected area.
The government has issued an urgent notice, requesting households near the flooded area and the downstream area of Ha Gia Nghia Lake to move to a safe place, and absolutely not to stay in areas at risk of flooding.
