People in Lam Dong voluntarily hand over rare pythons and monkeys to the police

Lam Dong - Two wild animal individuals including pythons and rare monkeys have just been voluntarily handed over to the police by people to release back into the natural environment.

On April 17, Quang Khe Commune Police said that the unit had just received 2 wild animal individuals handed over by people.

After that, the unit coordinated with functional agencies to release them back into the natural forest.

Accordingly, 2 individuals including macaques (scientific name Macaca fascicularis) and pythons (Python reticulatus), both belong to group IIB - a group of rare forest animals that need to be protected.

After receiving it, functional forces coordinated with local authorities, Ta Dung Forest Protection Department and Ta Dung National Park Management Board to check the health status of the individuals.

Through inspection, the individuals met the conditions and were released back into the natural environment according to regulations.

Quang Khe Commune Police recommends that people raise awareness in protecting wildlife, not hunting, keeping, transporting, or trading illegally, especially endangered and rare species.
