On December 23, the leader of the People's Committee of Bac Gia Nghia Ward (Lam Dong) said that the local government and the ward police had coordinated with Ta Dung National Park to release a 6kg pangolin into the natural environment.
Previously, on December 22, a group of young men including Ha A Lu, Lau Xuan Hong, Lau Xuan Ha and Hang A Tong were playing in the dam area of residential group 5, Dak Ha, Bac Gia Nghia ward when they discovered a pangolin crossing the road.

After that, the group of young men arrested the pangolin and took it to Mr. Ly A Song's house and reported it to the authorities of Bac Gia Nghia ward.
Upon receiving the information, Bac Gia Nghia Ward Police came to work, propagate and receive the pangolin handed over by the people.
The ward police coordinated with the forest rangers to determine the species and check the health status of this individual.
Through inspection, the authorities determined that the pangolin was a male animal, weighing 6kg, about 75cm long, and in good health.
This is a wild animal belonging to group IB - a group of endangered, precious, rare animals that are prioritized for protection and are eligible for release into the natural environment.
Immediately afterwards, Bac Gia Nghia Ward Police coordinated with Gia Nghia Forest Protection Department, Ta Dung Forest Protection Department and Ta Dung National Park to release the pangolin back into the natural forest according to regulations.
