Previously, on the morning of October 12, Dong Son Commune Police received 2 pangolins handed over by Mr. Quang Cong Vuong, Liem Quang Village, Dong Son Commune. According to Mr. Vuong, on the evening of October 11, while checking his garden, he suddenly discovered two pangolins crawling near the base of the tree.
Immediately afterwards, Mr. Vuong proactively contacted the Dong Son Commune Police to report and hand over.
Immediately after receiving the information, Dong Son Commune Police proactively verified and made a record of receiving the two pangolins. After that, the unit coordinated with the Forest Protection Department of the area to check and determined that these were 2 yellow pangolins, scientific name Manis pentadactyla, belonging to group IB, a rare endangered species, weighing about 3kg.
