On March 12, Nhan Co Commune Police (Lam Dong) said that the unit had just coordinated with functional agencies to complete procedures and release the cu li individual (also known as cù lần) back to the natural environment according to regulations.

According to Nhan Co Commune Police, previously on March 11, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoa (53 years old, residing in the locality) while cleaning the house suddenly discovered a culi individual in the corner of the house.
The culi individual weighs about 0.4kg and is in stable health. After discovering it, Mr. Hoa protected the animal and brought it to the police agency.
It is known that cu li, with the scientific name Nycticebus pygmaeus, belongs to group IB in the Vietnam Red Book, is a endangered, precious and rare forest animal prioritized for protection.
After receiving it, Nhan Co Commune Police coordinated with forest rangers and related units to check the health, care for and release the culi individual back to the natural environment according to regulations.
