On May 6, Quang Chau Commune Police said that they had just handed over a langur to the Quang Trach District Forest Protection Department in accordance with regulations.
Previously, on the evening of May 1, Mr. Dam Xuan Minh (born in 1992, residing in Trung Minh village, Quang Chau commune) discovered a strange small animal in the treetops while clearing the garden. Realizing that this was a wild animal with a special shape, Mr. Minh took it to the commune police headquarters to report.
The authorities identified the individual as a small rat (scientific name Nycticebus pygmaeus), belonging to group IB - an endangered, rare forest animal with priority protection, strictly prohibited from hunting, captivating, or trading in any form.
Right in the next morning, the Guangzhou Commune Police coordinated to hand over this animal individual to the Quang Trach District Forest Protection Department. The ranger will continue to transfer Cu Li individuals to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Biology - Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to care for, recover and re -release to the natural forest.
