Accordingly, the heavy rain occurred in Bao Lam 3 commune (Lam Dong) this afternoon, October 18, and lasted for more than 2 hours.
Heavy rain caused National Highway 55 through Loc Nam village (Bao Lam 3 commune) to be submerged in water from 0.5 to 0.7m deep.

It is noted that the deeply flooded road has turned into a "river" of more than 100m, making it impossible for all vehicles traveling on National Highway 55 to pass, causing traffic congestion.
Many vehicles, including trucks, deliberately stalled while traveling through this section of the road.

In particular, the deeply flooded road caused water to flood into the houses of more than 20 households on both sides of this road.
After the rain, local authorities mobilized police and militia forces to be present to regulate traffic safety.

The authorities have directed drivers to travel through residential roads to avoid traffic jams.

The People's Committee of Bao Lam 3 commune has also mobilized excavators to clear the flow to handle the deeply flooded road; at the same time, support households to move furniture and assets to prevent flooding.
After clearing the flow, at about 6:45 p.m. the same day, the water in the deeply flooded road had receded. Traffic on National Highway 55 through this section has begun to circulate normally.
