Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 p.m. on November 11, the center of storm No. 14 Fung-wong was at about 20 degrees north latitude; 118.4 degrees east longitude, in the eastern sea of the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the storm center is level 11 (103-117 km/h), gusting to level 14. The storm is moving north at a speed of about 10 km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the storm will move north-northeast at a speed of 10-15 km/h. At 1:00 p.m. on November 12, the center of the storm is forecast to be at about 22.6 degrees north latitude; 119.8 degrees east longitude, in the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea. The storm gradually weakened, with strong winds of level 10, gusting to level 13.
The danger zone is the area north of the 18th parallel north and east of the 116th parallel east. The natural disaster risk level is level 3 for the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, the storm will continue to move northeast at a speed of about 20 km/h, weakening into a tropical depression. At 1:00 p.m. on November 13, the center of the tropical depression was at about 24.9 degrees north latitude; 123.5 degrees east longitude, in the northeastern sea of Taiwan (China). Strong wind level 6, gust level 8.
The danger zone during this period is north of latitude 20.5 degrees north latitude and east of longitude 118 degrees east longitude. The natural disaster risk level is level 3 for the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea.
It is forecasted that in the next 36 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move east-northeast at a speed of about 20 km/h and weaken into a low pressure area over the northeastern sea of Taiwan (China), with winds below level 6.
The impact at sea, the sea area east of the North East Sea will have strong winds of level 7-8; the area near the storm center will have strong winds of level 9-11, gusts of level4; waves 4-6 m high, especially the area near the storm center will have waves 7-9 m high; the sea will be very rough. All ships in the danger zone are at high risk of being affected by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
Regarding the trend of tropical cyclones in the period from November 11 to December 10, 2025, according to the meteorological agency, it is forecasted that there will be 1-2 storms or tropical depressions in the East Sea and may affect the mainland of Vietnam.
