On the evening of November 27, Mr. Le Thanh Son - Chairman of the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward (Lam Dong Province) - said that due to bad weather, big waves damaged and caused landslides in the sea embankment section in Ham Tien 1 Quarter in the ward.

According to information from the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward, the seawall system in Ham Tien 1 Quarter was invested in and built in 2003.
After a long time of use, some locations have eroded the embankment foot, subsided the concrete components of the embankment roof, causing instability in the structure.

According to records at the scene, the damaged embankment section passes along seafood shops and coastal cafes. The damaged embankment is about 150m long.
This situation is at risk of affecting households, service businesses, and tourism establishments in the area.

Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward mobilized local forces to temporarily reinforce the landslide area with sandbags. At the same time, households and businesses along the seawall are required to relocate assets and belongings in areas at risk of further landslides.
In particular, at this time, storm No. 15 is forecast to directly affect the sea area of Lam Dong province.
The People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward has requested the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province to consider and direct relevant departments and branches to inspect the current state of damage to the sea embankment at the above location and propose a policy to repair, reinforce, and urgently rebuild degraded and landslide sections.

In the long term, the locality recommends that the Provincial People's Committee consider and approve the investment policy to build a new coastal protection embankment system about 500m long in Ham Tien 1 neighborhood to limit erosion and protect the coast.
