On April 29, leaders of Dak Wil Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area while swimming in a lake in a coffee plantation, killing a student.
Previously, on the afternoon of April 28, a group of 8 students invited each other to a coffee farm of a local in hamlet 8 (Dak Wil commune) to play. After that, the whole group went down to the lake to store water to water coffee to bathe.
At about 4 pm on the same day, V.H. N. T (12 years old, 6th grade student) unfortunately drowned and went missing in the lake.
Upon receiving the news, functional forces of Dak Wil commune quickly arrived at the scene, deploying search and rescue operations. After that, the victim was found and brought ashore, but died.
Immediately after the incident occurred, Dak Wil Commune People's Committee came to visit, share condolences, and at the same time supported a part of the funds for the family to take care of the funeral for the victim.
