On December 24, the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward (Lam Dong Province) said that it had requested construction service establishments to expand the sea dyke to immediately dismantle the violating items, due to the direct impact on the structure of the dyke.
Previously, on the afternoon of November 27, large waves continuously hit the shore, causing damage and serious landslides on the sea dyke in Ham Tien 1 quarter, along Nguyen Dinh Chieu street.

A section of the embankment about 150m long was eroded, the foot of the embankment was deeply eroded, many concrete components of the embankment roof sank, causing instability in the structure. The landslide area is warned to be at risk of continuing to widen by about 500m if not controlled promptly.
Immediately after the incident, the locality temporarily reinforced the landslide section. At the same time, businesses in dangerous areas are required to temporarily suspend operations and dismantle encroachment construction items on the sea dyke to reduce pressure on the project.

Recorded on the morning of December 24, many restaurants and cafes from 167 to 177 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, Ham Tien 1 Quarter are still closed and temporarily suspended business. The area in front of the shops was fenced with warning ropes, limiting people and tourists from entering and leaving.
Some establishments have moved tables, chairs, and items out of the danger zone. At 167 Nguyen Dinh Chieu alone, the construction work on the embankment has collapsed, the walls are cracked, posing a potential safety risk.

According to the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward, the phenomenon of sea dyke erosion is still complicated. To ensure the safety of people's lives and property and prevent the risk of damage to sea dykes in other areas in the area, the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee requested businesses with construction items expanding on the sea dykes to voluntarily dismantle the violating part, no later than December 30, 2025.

If the above deadline is exceeded, if the facilities do not comply, the locality will organize an inspection and handle it in accordance with the law.
Resolutely dismantling illegal constructions is identified as a necessary solution to protect the Ham Tien - Mui Ne sea dyke.
