On April 13, at the Center for Culture, Sports and Communications of Thanh Chuong district (Nghe An), the Steering Committee for the district voluntary blood donation mobilization coordinated with the Provincial Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize the "voluntary blood donation festival" in the first phase of 2025.
With the message "Giving blood drops, adding life", the program has attracted nearly 1,000 volunteers who are cadres, civil servants, officials, armed forces, youth union members from agencies, units, schools and 29 communes and towns in the district. Among these, many people have participated in blood donation many times in a row.
From the early morning, a large number of volunteers were present to register and conduct screening before donating blood. The atmosphere at the blood donation point became warm and lively, showing the spirit of solidarity, the noble gesture of the people of Thanh Chuong in sharing life.
At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee has received 769 blood units - valuable blood sources contributing to timely treatment for patients, especially in the context of blood scarcity often occurring in health facilities.
Besides those who are eligible to participate in blood donation, there are many people who come to cheer and encourage colleagues and friends to participate in the program. These silent actions also contribute to spreading the spirit of kindness and social responsibility of the community.
