Floods pass, humanity remains
On October 13, a working delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province led by Mr. Ho Ngoc Thinh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province - visited, encouraged and presented 500 million VND to support people in Quang Tri province to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.
Accompanying the work of supporting people in provinces affected by floods, over the past many days, Quang Ngai people have actively mobilized to donate cash and necessities, then directly transported them to the northern provinces, handing them over to people struggling to cope with natural disasters.

From October 10 to now, the corner of Le Thanh Ton - Ha Huy Tap street (Cam Thanh ward) has become a receiving point for relief goods such as instant noodles, drinking water, blankets, candy... to send to the North Central and Northern provinces - which are suffering heavy damage due to floods.
As soon as the banner "Receiving points for flood-affected people in the Northern provinces" was hung up, this place was always bustling with visitors. Whoever has contributed anything - all are the hearts of sharing, filled with humanity of the people of Quang Ngai.
Mr. Phan Thanh (residing in Cam Thanh ward) said: "Rain and floods in the northern provinces, especially Thai Nguyen, caused serious damage to people and property. I have donated 20 million VND in cash and asked the People's Committee of Cam Thanh Ward to establish a relief goods receiving point at the corner of Le Thanh Ton - Ha Huy Tap Street, under the supervision of local authorities".
As of the afternoon of October 13, Mr. Thanh and many colleagues have donated nearly 150 million VND in cash and about 50-60 tons of goods. On the same afternoon, 25 volunteers directly transported these goods to the northern provinces to support people in flooded areas.
The whole village processes fish day and night to send to people in flooded areas
Not only that, over the past few days, more than 30 households in Nghia Lo ward have contributed money and labor to process 500 jars of fish with fish sauce to send to the beloved people of the North.
The idea of making a dish of rich, affectionate braised fish was initiated by Ms. Nguyen Thi Na Va (Group 22, Nghia Lo Ward). Following the information and images of floods devastating the North in recent days, she posted a call on social media, hoping to gather her heart to share.

That call was quickly responded to by a large number of people. Each person has a hand. Some contribute money, some give ingredients, some join forces to cook. From early morning to late night, 10 kitchens are always on fire. Some make fish, some prepare fish sauce, some make a bowl, label, wrap and slice. Those who are busy take the opportunity to help for a few hours - all just hope to send a meaningful gift to the people of the North in time.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Linh (Nghia Lo ward) shared: "From 1.1 quintals of dried fish, everyone together made 500 jars of fish with fish sauce. To make fish with fish sauce suitable for Northern tastes, the women have experimented many times. Each batch of fish is seasoned in moderation, less spicy, less sweet. Some quenches are only adding the way to make it delicious and flavorful."
Ms. Na Va added: Without stopping at these 500 jars of fish, I and the people in the village will continue to monitor the flood situation in the North. If needed, we will make another batch of 500 jars to send out.
On the morning of October 13, all 500 jars of fish with fish sauce were sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces. Here, jars of love will be distributed to people who are heavily affected by natural disasters.
Each bottle of fish contains not only the flavor of the Central region but also the loving, sincere and deeply devoted heart of the people of Quang Ngai - always looking towards the beloved North.
