At noon on April 11, 2025, Hospital 199 coordinated with Tinh That Van Hanh Pagoda to distribute 500 charity meals to patients and relatives of poor patients being treated here.
Recorded at the Commercial Area of Hospital 199, patients come from many different districts, provinces/cities, of all ages, and are treated in many different specialties. Accordingly, each portion of hot vegetarian rice is carefully packaged in a clean, short box. The rice and vegetarian dishes are rich, colorful and flavorful, showing the thoughtfulness and heart of the charity unit.
A volunteer said: "We hope to help patients eat delicious and eye-catching meals. Thereby helping patients in difficult circumstances see the care and sharing of the community.
Receiving a portion of rice in hand, many patients and their families could not hide their emotions. The gratitude eyes, sincere thanks, warm smiles despite being tired of illness are the most meaningful recognition for the heart of the Venerable and the volunteers.
Mr. N.V.T, residing in Binh Dinh province, who is being treated at the Department of Neurology - Mental Health, said: Having received 2 meals, he was very happy, the rice was very delicious. Every day he receives rice like this, he saves a little more money to cover medical expenses.
Charity launching activities at Hospital 199 are not the first time, but have become a charity beauty that many organizations coordinate to maintain and demonstrate social responsibility. In the coming time, Tinh That Van Hanh Pagoda as well as some other coordinating units will continue to spread the spirit of mutual love in the community.
500 meals may not solve all the difficulties that the patient is facing, but the warmth and affection contained in them is an invaluable dose of spiritual medicine. Light up faith and hope, giving patients more strength on their journey to fight the disease.
