Lam Dong - Corps 16 has awarded 100 million VND to support the construction of houses for children of martyrs who are facing housing difficulties.

On July 27, the 16th Corps Command organized a ceremony to award funding to support housing construction for policy beneficiaries in difficult circumstances working at the unit, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).

Attending the ceremony were Colonel Lai Van Tuan - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Political Department of Corps 16, along with representatives of agencies, departments, and divisions of the corps and leaders and commanders of Economic - National Defense Team 726.

At the ceremony, Colonel Lai Van Tuan and delegates presented 100 million VND to support housing construction and gifts to the family of employee Vu Thi At, staff of Economic - National Defense Team 726 (Tuy Duc commune, Lam Dong province). Ms. Vu Thi At is a martyr's daughter, currently in difficult housing circumstances.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Lai Van Tuan emphasized that caring for people with meritorious services to the revolution and policy families is the responsibility and affection of officers, soldiers, employees and workers of Binh Doan 16.

This activity contributes to spreading the tradition of "Mutual affection", "Good leaves protect torn leaves", implementing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude".

According to Colonel Lai Van Tuan, the financial support for housing construction shows the concern of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Command of Corps 16 for cadres, employees, and laborers in difficult circumstances.

Leaders of the corps wished Ms. Vu Thi At's family to soon complete the house, stabilize their lives, continue to promote the tradition of a martyr's family, strive to work and contribute to building the unit.

In recent years, along with performing military and defense tasks associated with socio-economic development in the strategic Central Highlands region, the 16th Corps has always paid attention to effectively implementing policy work and the "Gratitude" movement.

The unit has implemented many practical activities such as building gratitude houses, comradeship houses; donating gratitude savings books; receiving support for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; creating jobs, arranging work for children of martyrs, children of wounded soldiers; coordinating to repair and renovate works commemorating martyrs.

These activities show responsibility and deep gratitude to those who have contributed and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland; and at the same time contribute to preserving and spreading the noble image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the hearts of the people.
