On May 2nd, Long Binh Border Guard Station (Command of An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command) said that the unit had just returned lost property to a couple in the area.
At 5:30 PM on May 1, 2026, during a patrol on a rural road in Group 8, Tan Binh hamlet, Khanh Binh commune, the working group of Long Binh Border Guard Station picked up 3 taels of gold (24k gold), with a total value of more than 45 million VND.
The unit has notified and requested the Department of Culture, Social Affairs, and the Khanh Binh Commune General Service Center to broadcast on loudspeakers about the above incident.
At 8:15 PM on the same day, a couple came to the unit to report the receipt. After verifying and comparing the report and the property characteristics as correct, Lieutenant Nguyen Anh Kiet, Head of the Armed Team, the person who picked up the lost property, proceeded to return it to the couple.
Receiving the lost property back, the couple thanked the Border Guard officers for picking it up and wholeheartedly supporting the search for the lost person.
