On July 27, news from Ninh Thuan General Hospital said that the Social Work Department in coordination with the 0 VND Haircut Group organized a free haircut and shampoo program for inpatients.
This is an activity maintained periodically every month, aiming to bring comfort, relaxation and motivation to patients during treatment.
From early morning, many patients were present to participate in the program. Many elderly people with weak health who had to sit in wheelchairs or had relatives supporting them still happily waited for their turn to have their hair cut and washed.
For severe patients who cannot leave the bed or have difficulty walking, members of the 0 VND Hair Cutting Group directly go to each patient room to cut hair and shave right at the bed.
Simple but dedicated actions have brought joy and emotion to patients and their families.
Throughout the program, members of the 0 VND Haircut Group and employees of the Social Work Department coordinated smoothly in each task, from cutting hair, shampooing, hair drying to supporting patients to move and taking care of those with weak health.
Despite the continuous work, volunteers and medical staff are always dedicated and thoughtful, wishing to help patients feel clean, comfortable and cared for during their treatment days.
According to the Social Work Department, the words of thanks, smiles and satisfaction of patients after each haircut and shampooing are the motivation for the 0 VND Haircut Group and the unit to continue to maintain this meaningful activity.
