Can Tho - After mistakenly transferring nearly 1 billion VND, a man in Can Tho quickly reported to functional agencies and was promptly supported.

On March 18, Can Tho City Police said that recently, Cai Rang Ward Police received a thank-you letter from Mr. Ha Huu Thanh (born in 1977, Cai Rang Ward, Can Tho City) for promptly supporting Mr. Thanh to receive back nearly 1 billion VND due to mistaken transfer.

According to the letter, on the morning of March 10, 2026, during a bank transfer transaction, due to negligence in operation, Mr. Ha Huu Thanh mistakenly transferred the amount of 998 million VND to another account. After discovering the incident, he was very confused and worried because this was a large amount of money for his family, Mr. Thanh went to Cai Rang Ward Police to report and ask for support to receive the money back as soon as possible.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Cai Rang Ward Police Command directed officers and soldiers to urgently verify and review information related to money transfer transactions. By professional measures, the police force quickly identified the recipient of the money account as Mr. B.H. S, who is currently registered as permanent resident in Gia Tran commune, Ninh Binh province.

After identifying the identity, Cai Rang Ward Police directly contacted Gia Tran Commune Police, Ninh Binh province to coordinate verification, and at the same time requested support to contact Mr. B.H. S to carry out the return of the money mistakenly transferred by Mr. Ha Huu Thanh.

Thanks to the timely coordination between the police of the two localities, by the 17th, Mr. B.H. S had returned the entire amount of money to Mr. Thanh.
