On June 6, Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Tan Tinh - Head of Ba Gia Commune Police said that the unit had just supported Mr. Dang Ngoc Truc (54 years old) and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thien Han (55 years old), permanently residing in Dak Lak province, to find their nephew after more than two decades of losing contact.
Previously, on June 2, Mr. Truc and his wife came to Ba Gia Commune Police to present their wish to search for Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan (50 years old), Mr. Truc's older sister's son. After his mother passed away, Mr. Tuan followed his father back to his hometown to live. Because Mr. Truc's family moved to resettle and communication conditions were limited, the two sides lost contact before 2004.
According to Mr. Truc's family, for many years, relatives have searched in many places, contacted many localities and asked acquaintances to inquire about information but without results. The search process encountered many difficulties due to insufficient stored information and some inaccurate initial data.
From the meager information still preserved, the family only knows that Mr. Tuan used to live in Xuan My village, Tinh Hiep commune, Son Tinh district (old), now belonging to Ba Gia commune. Immediately after receiving the case, Ba Gia Commune Police coordinated with the family and local people to verify information, and at the same time review data on the national population database system.
After a day of active searching, the police force identified Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, currently residing in Thach Noi village, Ba Gia commune, and informed his family to come and identify him.
The moment of relatives recognizing each other after more than 20 years of separation took place in emotion. Mr. and Mrs. Truc expressed their gratitude for the spirit of responsibility and dedication of officers and soldiers of Ba Gia Commune Police in helping their family realize their wish for reunion.
