On the afternoon of March 20, Major Nguyen Khanh Rin - Deputy Head of Hai Khe Commune Police (Hai Lang District, Quang Tri Province) confirmed that in order to commend and spread the beautiful actions of Le Thanh Tinh and Tran Thi Linh Dan (all students of class 4B, Hai Khe Primary and Secondary School), the unit has proposed the Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of Hai Khe Primary and Secondary School to commend them.
At the same time, it is recommended that all levels have forms of reward and encouragement for the two students for their good deeds, picking up lost property to find the owner and returning it.
Previously, at 11:30 a.m. on March 17, Mr. Le Hong Hanh (born in 1989, residing in Trung An village, Hai Khe commune) brought two yellow metal objects suspected to be gold to hand over to Hai Khe commune police.
These yellow metals were picked up by Mr. Hanh's daughter, Le Thanh Tinh, and his friend, Tran Thi Linh Dan.
Determining that the two metal objects were gold, with a weight of 10 taels (a yellow tree), Hai Khe Commune Police conducted verification and searched for the legal owner to return them in accordance with the provisions of law.
During the verification process, Hai Khe Commune Police determined that the gold was of Mr. Truong Van Sung (born in 1991, from Tham Khe village, Hai Khe commune, currently residing in Vinh Hai ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province), so they returned it to Mr. Sung.
Mr. Sung said that on March 16, he and his wife borrowed a golden tree from a relative. When selling gold to get capital for business, because it was gone early, gold shops had not opened yet. Mr. Sung and his wife went to Khe Che lake (in Dien Sanh town, Hai Lang district) to watch a boat race, where they accidentally dropped their gold.
"After the search and could not be found, we reported to the police for support. Currently, we have received the lost gold from Hai Khe Commune Police" - Mr. Truong Van Sung said.
Happy to receive the lost gold, Mr. Sung wrote a letter of thanks to Tinh, Linh Dan, Mr. Hanh's family and Hai Khe Commune Police.
