Information from Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) on February 12 said that in recent days, the unit has deployed to give thousands of Tet gifts to poor households in 8 southern provinces and cities with a total value of nearly 2 billion VND, including money and necessities. This is an annual activity of EVNSPC every Tet and Spring, aiming to join hands with the locality to take care of Tet for the poor in the area.

In Can Tho City, from October 8th to 2nd, nearly 150 Tet gifts were given to policy families, the elderly, poor households, and near-poor households. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham (Thuan Hung ward, Can Tho City) expressed: "My family is very poor! When we received information from the locality inviting us to receive gifts from the electricity industry, the family was very happy. This is a meaningful gift, helping the family have more conditions to cover expenses during Tet this year. Thank you to the electricity industry for always caring and sharing with households in difficult circumstances.
In Tay Ninh, more than 300 Tet gifts have also been given by EVNSPC, Tay Ninh Power Company in coordination with local authorities to households in difficult circumstances.
In Dong Thap, EVNSPC also coordinated with the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province to organize visits and give 90 Tet gifts to households in difficult circumstances and policy families in Tan Phu Trung, Tan Duong and Hoa Long communes.
Similarly, Tet gift-giving activities for poor households are also being simultaneously implemented by EVNSPC in Lam Dong, Dong Nai, An Giang, Ca Mau, and Vinh Long provinces.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung (Tan Duong commune, Dong Thap province) emotionally said: "Receiving the gift, I feel very warm. The most precious thing is the affection, the care of all levels, sectors and the electricity industry for the poor people. That is the motivation for my family to try to rise up in the new year.



Meaningful gifts not only contribute to sharing difficulties before the New Year, but also add faith and motivation for people to confidently rise up, welcome the new spring with more hope, and further tighten the link between businesses and people in areas with power projects passing through. Mr. Pham Van Hoa, National Assembly Delegate of Dong Thap province, said: "Caring for the poor every Tet holiday is a consistent policy of the Party and State. The companionship of the Southern electricity industry for many years is a clear proof of the social responsibility of state-owned enterprises, contributing to the province to well implement social security work, leaving no one behind.
Mr. Bui Quoc Hoan - Deputy General Director of EVNSPC - said: With EVNSPC, social responsibility is not only limited to ensuring safe and stable electricity flow but also persistent companionship with the community. Tet care activities for the poor are not just a movement or a time, but have become a traditional beauty of EVNSPC every Spring. Thereby, affirming the role of state-owned enterprises always placing community interests and social responsibility in parallel with production and business tasks.
According to EVNSPC, in 2025, the unit spent nearly 19 billion VND from not organizing the 50th anniversary of construction and development to support the construction of 315 houses for the poor in southern provinces and cities, responding to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Government; and mobilized more than 30 billion VND of socialized resources to build 500 new houses for difficult households; EVNSPC employees also contributed more than 10 billion VND to support people affected by natural disasters and floods...
