Having just experienced four consecutive floods with many damages, Hue people understand the losses that natural disasters have left. Therefore, in recent days, the spirit of solidarity and the tradition of "mutual love" has continued to spread strongly, many places in the area have become places to receive hearts sent to people in flooded areas.

At the community reception point on Ba Trieu Street (Hue City), from early morning to late night, the atmosphere here is warmer as the crowd of people comes to support continuously. The bags of rice, wheat flour, milk, mineral water or clothes are brought continuously by the people, then the volunteers classify and carefully package them as if they are sent with love.

Mr. Le Van Huynh (Phong Dien ward, Hue city), a member on duty for more than three days, said: "After the call, we received a lot of support, from the people to the students, everyone wanted to contribute a little bit of their strength. Many children also brought milk, cakes... to place right in the classification corner. That moved us a lot.

After nearly three days of calling, the group received a total donation value of more than 400 million VND, including cash and in-kind value. In particular, many essential goods of all kinds such as rice (more than 2 tons), instant noodles (more than 100 boxes), milk (nearly 100 boxes) along with mineral water, milk, clothes and school supplies such as notebooks (200), school bags (100 pieces), shoes (more than 500 pairs)...

All are classified by group of subjects to be sent to affected localities, ensuring the right place, right person, right need.

Amidst the busy line of people bringing goods, Huynh Thi Ngoc Huong - a student at Hue University of Science - just took off her raincoat and held a cardboard box tightly: "After studying, I bought noodles and water and ran straight here. With this small gift, I hope to contribute something so that people can soon overcome difficulties, Huong shared and then ran back to help classify clothes.

Connecting the heart

At the University of Science, Hue University, relief goods receiving activities also took place enthusiastically. With the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", the school has launched a call for cadres, lecturers, students and people to join hands to support people in flooded areas.

Thanks to the active participation of volunteer students, clubs, Youth Union and Student Association, the reception, classification and transportation work was implemented quickly and orderly. In the morning, the school received more than a ton of rice, hundreds of blankets and many other necessities from parents and benefactors.

Mr. Nguyen Van Anh (Thanh Thuy ward, Hue city), who experienced many floods, emotionally shared: Witnessing the damage to people in flooded areas, I sympathized so I brought some food and blankets to contribute to the school's program. Hopefully, we can help people somewhat overcome this difficult period".

In recent days, along with the whole country, Hue City people have turned their hearts to our compatriots in flood-affected areas. After each simple gift is sincere affection, a warm sharing sent on each trip on the journey to the people of the flooded areas.
