In recent years, the health sector has always enthusiastically participated and taken the lead in volunteer movements, notably the voluntary blood donation movement. Many doctors, nurses, and medical staff have donated blood dozens of times, thereby contributing to timely treatment for patients.
With 25 times of blood donation to save lives, Dr. Pham Dang Duy, (Department of Examination, Ninh Binh Provincial Mental Hospital) always believes in "Each drop of blood given - A life remains".
Started participating in voluntary blood donation right from the first year as a student at Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy. When returning to work at Ninh Binh Provincial Mental Hospital, Dr. Duy continued to participate in the voluntary blood donation movement of the Ninh Binh Health Sector.

"I came to voluntary blood donation as a responsibility of a medical staff. An obvious thing in our work. I am currently a member of the "White+ Blood Donation Club" of the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Health. I myself always feel proud and happy to be able to contribute a small part to save the lives of patients" - Dr. Pham Dang Duy shared.
As for Mr. Dang Khoi Nguyen (working at the Political Department, Military Hospital 5), although he is still very young, he has participated in voluntary blood donation 30 times.
Mr. Nguyen shared that although science and medicine have made remarkable progress today, there is still no drug or dichemic that can replace blood. It can be said that blood is an invaluable gift that helps people maintain their lives. Therefore, to save the lives of patients at high risk of blood loss, as well as in treating serious diseases that require blood transfusion, there is no other way that people need to donate and share their pink blood drops to contribute to maintaining the lives of those in need of blood.

With such concerns and worries, right from the beginning of his work and as a team leader at Military Hospital 5, Mr. Nguyen was the one who established the "Shock Blood Donation Team" in the Hospital under his own management. Since its establishment, the "Shock Blood Donation Team" has been effective.
"When the patient was in a very fragile border between life and death due to acute blood loss, members of the "Blood Donation Team" immediately appeared to donate blood to save the patient. At any time, regardless of day or night, rain or shine, if the hospital's blood reserve is scarce and cannot be supplemented immediately to provide emergency care to patients, we will leave" - Mr. Nguyen shared.
Voluntary blood donation has become a fine tradition of union members and young people in the Ninh Binh health sector. The drops of blood of gratitude have been contributing to sharing difficulties with patients; at the same time, arousing tradition, love for others, spreading the voluntary blood donation movement to all classes of people and the enthusiastic example of the blood donation movement is very commendable and respected.
