On July 18, Mr. Nguyen Van Duc - Chairman of the People's Committee of Trieu Hoa commune (Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province) confirmed that the Trieu Hoa commune police had found the person who dropped the money and returned it.
Previously, at around 7:30 p.m. on September 17, while traveling home, Mr. Truong Hoai (29 years old, residing in Van Hoa village, Trieu Hoa commune) saw a red bag in the middle of the road.
Stopping to check the bag, Mr. Hoa discovered that there were many bills inside, so he took the bag to the Trieu Hoa Commune Police Station to report the finding.
Trieu Hoa commune police received the report and confirmed that the person who dropped the bag was Ho Duc Linh (28 years old, residing in Quang Dien village, Trieu Dai commune, Trieu Phong district).
According to Trieu Hoa Commune Police, Mr. Linh took the amount of 44 million VND to pay off a debt. Although he had it with him, he dropped it without realizing it. When he stopped at a restaurant, he discovered that the bag had fallen.
It is known that Mr. Linh went to the Trieu Hoa Commune Police Station, proved that he was the one who dropped the bag, and received back the 44 million VND he had lost.
