Accordingly, at around 11:00 a.m. on August 18, when coming to transact at the BIDV Bank ATM (in sub-zone 6, Tinh Gia ward, Thanh Hoa), Ms. Le Thi Huyen (born in 1988, teacher at Tinh Gia 1 High School) discovered in the withdrawal tray an amount of 79.5 million VND that had been left behind.
Immediately afterwards, Ms. Huyen brought the entire amount to Tinh Gia Ward Police to report and asked to verify the owner to return it. After receiving the assets, Tinh Gia Ward Police quickly posted the information on the official fanpage, and contacted BIDV Bank to coordinate verification.
On August 19, through reviewing information from BIDV Bank, Tinh Gia Ward Police identified the owner of the money as Mr. Mai Xuan Tan (born in 1984, residing in Sub-zone 1, Tinh Gia Ward).
At the property handover ceremony, Mr. Tan expressed his joy and gratitude for the beautiful and humane actions of teacher Le Thi Huyen; and at the same time sent his thanks to the officers and soldiers of Tinh Gia Ward Police and BIDV Bank, sub-zone 6, for their enthusiastic support and help him receive the money back.
