The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society emphasized that today is World Humanitarian Day (19.), the above-mentioned figures have demonstrated the affection of the Vietnamese people to share with the Cuban people through the "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba" Program.
"Each heart that is given is not only practical help, but also a strong message: The human spirit is always spreading, without borders, without gaps. Let's continue to join hands to make the Vietnam - Cuba friendship stronger. Each contribution is a bridge to extend the common sea friendship, the iron friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, a testament to sharing difficulties and accompanying in hardships" - the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society called for.
Previously, updated to 11:00 on August 19, 2025, the program received 1.73 million donations with VND 341.1 billion sent to the Cuban people. The numbers are still increasing every day and every hour.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, said that the campaign to support the Cuban people "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba affection" is within the framework of "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year 2025", commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1960-2025).
The program will support the Cuban people with food, necessities and sustainable humanitarian activities.
This is not only a humanitarian campaign but also a strong message to international friends: "Vietnam is always by Cuba's side, as Cuba is always by Vietnam's side".
The representative of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society emphasized that this is a vivid testament to the special solidarity and friendship, the loyal and steadfast solidarity of the Vietnamese people towards the brotherly people of Cuba.
