Nghe An volunteer group supports Lao girl with serious illness

QUANG ĐẠI |

Nghe An - The volunteer group supported 10 million VND for a Lao girl with a particularly difficult family history cancer.

On November 3, information from the Thanh Vinh Love Porridge Volunteer Group said that the group had just joined hands to support a Lao girl with a serious illness and is in especially difficult circumstances, being treated at Vinh General Hospital, Branch 1.

The patient is Veantaphpmamade, born in 2007, Lao nationality. According to the Social Work Department of Vinh General Hospital, the child's family is in a particularly difficult situation, his parents are farmers and do not have a stable income. She and her husband in Laos also do not have long-term jobs.

More than 2 months before, Veantaphpmamade underwent surgery for an ovarian tumor in Laos but her condition did not improve. Currently, the child was diagnosed with metastatic ovarian cancer by the doctor, and in the final stage, with intestinal obstruction, he had to move to Vietnam for treatment in the hope of prolonging his life.

Due to no health insurance, all costs for treatment, accommodation, and medicine are paid by the family. After a period of treatment, the economy was exhausted, while the disease progressed rapidly, causing the family to only hope for medicine to prolong their life and take the child back to their hometown.

In that precarious situation, the Thanh Vinh Porridge and Love Group mobilized kind-hearted people to donate 10 million VND, support the cost of 10 days of treatment according to the hospital's prescription, along with food and fuel for the family to take care of the patient.
