In many residential areas, especially in suburban and rural areas, play space for children is still limited. Young children often have to play on roadsides, vacant lots or around residential areas, posing many safety risks, while the need for exercise and entertainment is increasing.
From that reality, the Youth Union of Hoa Binh Ward (Phu Tho) has deployed the construction of a playground for children in the locality, contributing to creating more healthy living space for children.
Talking about the project, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh ward, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hoa Binh ward said that the project has a total cost of about 50 million VND, built in the Mieu residential group area, former Trung Minh ward, now Hoa Binh ward. Up to now, the main items of the project have been basically completed, it is expected that this afternoon (April 3), youth union members will start to paint and complete to put it into use soon.
According to records, as soon as the basic items were formed, many children in the residential area excitedly came to see and waited for the playground to be completed. Local people highly appreciate this activity for bringing a safe and clean space for children, instead of having to play in unsafe areas.
A parent in Hoa Binh ward said that previously children in the area mainly played on the roadside or found temporary places to play on their own, which was quite dangerous. Having a new playground helps families feel more secure, and at the same time creates conditions for children to socialize and exercise.
Mr. Hung informed that the project is implemented by Hoa Binh Ward Youth Union in coordination with Hoa Binh Hydropower Company Youth Union and officials, union members, youth and people of Mieu residential group.
The construction of the playground originates from the actual needs of the locality, when many residential areas do not have living space for children. The ward union has mobilized resources to implement it, with the desire to create a safe and healthy destination for children.
According to Mr. Hung, the project does not only stop at creating a playground, but also contributes to enhancing the role of the Youth Union organization in caring for the spiritual life of children, and at the same time spreading the spirit of responsibility and community involvement in building a better living environment.
