On the morning of April 3, oil stains appeared in the Tran Khat Chan overpass area, causing slipperiness, causing many motorcyclists to slip and fall.
Accordingly, at about 7:00 am on the same day, Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 (CSGT) - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police received information from people reflecting that in the area of Tran Khat Chan overpass (direction Dai Co Viet to Nguyen Khoai), an oil stain appeared stretching about 50m on the bridge deck, causing some motorbikes moving through the area to fall due to slipperiness, posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety.
Immediately after receiving the information, the task force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 4, including Lieutenant Colonel Tu Ngoc Minh and Major Le Minh Duc, urgently arrived at the scene, coordinating with the bridge protection force to implement traffic safety measures.

Functional forces have placed warnings, diverted traffic from afar, guided vehicles to move safely; and at the same time mobilized vehicles and used sand to treat the entire oil-stained road surface area, overcoming the slippery situation.
In parallel with that, functional forces provided first aid and took the victims to the emergency room in time.
By about 8:30 am on the same day, the oil spill had been thoroughly treated, and traffic through the area returned to normal.
Currently, the cause of the incident is being further verified and clarified by functional agencies.
