On November 12, authorized by the Central Youth Union, Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union awarded the Brave Youth Badge to Dinh Phuong, Dinh Kheo, Dinh Ca Ngu, Dinh Duc, Dinh Beo - who are studying at the Bo Trach District Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.
Previously, at around 3:30 p.m. on October 20, the five students were playing on the road from school to near Niu slope (in Ca Roong II village, Thuong Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province) when they heard cries for help and discovered two children floating in the middle of a raging river.
Dinh Phuong immediately called her friends to follow her and jumped into the stream to swim out to save the people. The strong current prevented her from reaching the two children. The other four friends quickly ran ahead, choosing a favorable position to swim out to save the people.
After that, Dinh Ca Ngu and Dinh Beo saved Dinh Nghi (a second grader at Thuong Trach Primary School No. 1) and brought him safely to shore. Dinh Duc and Dinh Kheo saved Dinh Minh (a first grader at the same school).
On behalf of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, Mr. Dinh Trung Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union encouraged and acknowledged the actions of the children of the Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in rescuing a drowning person; at the same time, wished the children to always be good, united and always have the spirit of living beautifully, ready to help people in difficulty.
