Mirrors are also useful "assistants" in small spaces. Full-body mirrors, mirrors attached to cabinet doors or reflective wall panels help increase natural light, while creating a feeling that the room is deeper and wider.
Colors should lean towards bright, neutral tones such as white, cream, beige or light gray. Using uniform colors and materials for walls, ceilings, and furniture will limit visual separation. Overly dark colors should only be used as accents to avoid making the house heavy.
Take advantage of height and each space
Another important principle is to exploit space according to height. Ceiling cabinets, wall shelves or modular storage systems help take advantage of often empty positions.
