To make children more excited about reading, parents can teach their children to create some beautiful, colorful handicrafts like book clips. With many diverse animal models, parents should teach their children to make lovely book clips, for example, lovely lion statues.
To make a lion book clip, parents should instruct their children to prepare tools including yellow, orange and black handmade paper; paper scissors; two-sided glue or tape; colored pen or black foam pencils; plastic eyes (can be painted by hand); paper clip or cardboard as card body.
Use yellow paper and cut a circle as the lion head. Next, use a black pen to paint the surrounding vertical lines to create a fringe. Attach plastic eyes or paint your hands on your face and then use a pen to paint a small triangle, border and mouth to complete the lion's face.
Use yellow paper to cut a rectangular strip, about 2cm wide and length depending on the size of the book. At one end, the Lion's face is finished. At the other end, cut a rectangle in the middle, draw or add orange and black foam and tail to create an accents. You can create a nail effect by cutting small black circles and pasting them on top.
After completing the head and body, apply the entire lion model to a hard surface to increase endurance. The lion book clip should be designed loosely to easily fit between the pages of the book. Check the stickers again to make sure they are not peeling during use.
