At the same time, this unit is implementing the project to renovate and repair the sidewalks of Vo Thi Sau Street and Thanh Nhan Street (in front of the Capital Youth Park) and the project to add an electric lighting system to the park, combined with planting flowers and ornamental plants.The 3 projects will be implemented simultaneously, with lighting systems and green tree beds arranged along the entire route to separate the park boundary from the sidewalk and traffic routes, including openings for people to easily access the park.Regarding the expected progress, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Deputy Head of Project Operations Department 1 (Hai Ba Trung District Construction Investment Project Management Board) informed that the unit strives to complete the project before Ong Cong Ong Tao Festival (December 23) in time to serve people to celebrate the Lunar New Year of At Ty.A representative of the Thanh Nhan Ward People's Committee (Hai Ba Trung District) said that in addition to the fence system being dismantled, the electricity unit is adjusting the underground cable system. After the sidewalk is renovated, the ward will study the plan to temporarily stop granting parking permits on the two sidewalks and arrange other more suitable parking spots.Workers are rushing to plant trees to create a "soft" fence surrounding the park area.According to the plan, the Capital Youth Park has a total area of 26 hectares, with a total investment of over 280 billion VND. Faced with the serious degradation of the Capital Youth Park for a long time, many areas of land were encroached upon to build restaurants, operate football fields, parking lots, etc. Around mid-January 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 336/QD-UBND on terminating the assignment of Hanoi Development Investment and Trading Company to organize site clearance, prepare for investment in construction and renovation of the Capital Youth Park.
At the same time, Hai Ba Trung district is assigned to manage this park according to its current status, using 199,939.045m2 of cleared land for the purpose of building the park.
The Hai Ba Trung District Construction Investment Project Management Board is responsible for reviewing maintenance contracts, managing trees, lighting, drainage, and environmental sanitation in the park; Thanh Nhan Ward People's Committee manages land, landscape space, urban order, and ensures security and order in the park until a new unit takes over.
