However, due to the impact of storm No. 3, Do Son district decided to postpone the final round to September 21 (ie August 19 of the lunar calendar).

According to Lao Dong reporter, at 7am on September 21, the Do Son District Central Stadium, where the final round of the Do Son Buffalo Fighting Festival took place, was packed with people. Some of the empty stands were filled with spectators immediately afterwards. Mr. Nguyen Son - a tourist from Cau Giay District, Hanoi said: "Last night, I and some friends were present in Do Son to prepare to watch the festival final this morning. This is the second year I have come to this festival and I am very impressed."

As for Mr. Van Duc Ngoc - a resident of Hai An district, Hai Phong city, the traditional Do Son buffalo fighting festival is a unique cultural feature of the people of Do Son district in particular and Hai Phong city in general, which has been ranked by the state as an intangible cultural heritage. "This is the 4th time I have come to the festival, as a way to support the traditional culture of Hai Phong city" - Mr. Ngoc shared.

This year's festival still retains the same prize value as the 2023 festival. Accordingly, the buffalo owner with the champion buffalo will receive 100 million VND, 1 second prize worth 60 million VND and 2 third prizes each worth 30 million VND.
