Rushing at the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway construction site before the finishing day

    Under the harsh sun of the early summer days, the shape of the trillion-dong expressway connecting Lang Son and Cao Bang is gradually being completed.

    The Dong Dang (Lang Son) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang) expressway project is a key project with a total investment of more than 26,000 billion VND. In which, phase 1 of the project has a length of more than 93km, which is a major challenge in terms of terrain when it includes 2 mountain tunnels and 64 overpasses.

    Currently, phase 2 of the project is being implemented, including expanding 93.35 km already invested in the previous phase. At the same time, the project will build an additional 27.71 km of expressway (including 17 bridges and 3 mountain tunnels) to connect directly to Tra Linh border gate in Cao Bang province.

    To meet the progress, on the entire phase 1 route, contractors are currently simultaneously deploying 93 construction fronts with nearly 900 machines and equipment and more than 2,000 personnel.

    In order to prepare for the future, some sections of the route are currently being organized by construction units to expand the roadbed from 17m to 22m.

    Mr. Tran Van Phu, Commander of Construction Point No. 3, Construction Investment Group 568 Joint Stock Company said: "Due to the very large construction volume of more than 1 million cubic meters of stone, we have calculated the detailed volume according to the overall volume of the project to divide the volume and construction progress by month, week and even day. The brothers at the stage also have day and night construction plans.

    Up to now, the project has recorded positive figures when the total output of construction packages has reached over 8,700 billion VND, equivalent to 74% of the contract value.

    Disbursement is also a bright spot of the project. Currently, the disbursed capital has reached over 8,000 billion VND, reaching a rate of 90% compared to the state capital plan allocated, creating great motivation for contractors.

    According to the plan, by May 19, the project will officially open technical traffic for the 62km section, starting from Dong Dang border gate (Lang Son) extending to Dong Khe commune (Cao Bang).

    Mr. Dang Tien Thang, General Director of Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway Joint Stock Company affirmed: "In the coming time, the project enterprise and the contractor will focus their efforts on thoroughly handling road obstacles. The priority focus is to complete the road surface, guardrails, median strips and sign paint lines within the scope from Km52+00 - Km61+700 (the beginning of Cao Bang province to IC04 intersection).
