"Clearance sale" and "big discounts" flood Hai Phong flower market on the 28th of Tet

At 10am on the 28th of Tet, at the flower market along Le Hong Phong Street, Hai Phong, people and vehicles were bustling. After 2 days of Tet holiday, many people took the opportunity to buy ornamental plants to decorate their houses. Mr. Vu Tuan Anh (Hai An district) said: "After cleaning the house for the last two days of the weekend, I finally had time to go buy plants and flowers to decorate for Tet. In general, the atmosphere of Le Hong Phong flower market is still bustling but not as crowded as every year".

A kumquat tree stall on Le Hong Phong Street still has about 300-400 trees without owners, even though there is only one day left until Tet.

There are still many products but not much purchasing power, many small traders put up "clearance sale" signs from early morning on the 28th of Tet. In particular, a Sapa stone peach stall reduced the price from 1 million VND/branch to 500,000-700,000 VND/branch.

Kumquat stall on Le Hong Phong street hangs a "buy 1 get 1 free" sign to attract customers.

Binh Dinh apricot flower stalls are also being sold off, now at 150,000 VND/pot, instead of 200,000 - 300,000 VND/pot like previous days.

Another kumquat stall also had a "clearance sale" sign. Accordingly, a kumquat pot costs only about 400,000 VND, half the price compared to before.

Along Le Hong Phong Street, many blooming peach branches were thrown away, lying scattered at many intersections.

Similarly, at the flower market on Ho Sen Street (Le Chan District), many traders also simultaneously sold off their goods and reduced prices on the last day.

Pots of yellow apricot blossoms also have a sign saying they are discounted 1 million VND/pot on the 28th of Tet.

Along the Ho Sen flower market are a series of sale signs, clearance sale signs, "sale and gift".

The peach blossom stall next to the Lotus Lake still has hundreds of unsold branches. Ms. Kieu, a vendor at the Tet flower market on Ho Sen Street, said: "My husband and I came from Son La to Hai Phong to sell Tet peach blossoms, planning to sell them all on the 28th of Tet and then return home in time for the New Year's Eve dinner. Therefore, on the last day at the flower market, we reduced the price to the maximum for customers, just hoping to sell all the goods to have a warmer and more prosperous Tet."
