Working through the night to bring key power projects to the finish line

These days, at key power grid projects in the South, hundreds of officers, workers and engineers are racing to bring the project to the finish line on schedule.
To meet the progress in the last 3 months of the year to put 46 110kV power grid projects into operation, from October 2024 to now, there are almost no weekends on 110kV power grid projects in the Southern region.During the project implementation in the last months of the year, many areas were in the flood season, heavy rain caused many difficulties and challenges in construction as well as transportation of equipment and materials.To overcome difficulties and challenges and complete projects on schedule, the lights on 110kV power projects in the Southern region are always on these days, with the spirit of "working during the day is not enough, so work at night".Joining forces with contractors and construction units are the staff of EVNSPC member units. They do not mind the difficulties and hardships, working all night to perform testing and calibration of equipment serving the work of energizing the project.Not only being resolute in management, EVNSPC leaders have been regularly present at construction sites day and night to direct, remove difficulties and obstacles in projects and encourage workers. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Duc - General Director of EVNSPC - said that the unit is currently implementing many projects in 21 southern provinces and cities to serve socio-economic development. In 2024 alone, EVNSPC plans to energize and put into operation about 60 projects to serve socio-economic development.With high determination, great efforts and solidarity of all forces participating in the project, from October 2024 to present, EVNSPC has energized and put into operation 35 key 110kV power grid projects in the Southern provinces; including particularly important projects serving key national projects such as the Long Thanh Airport 110kV Transformer Station Project and connecting lines. According to the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC), in the first 11 months of the year, 51 key power grid projects were energized and put into operation; of which 26 projects were energized in November 2024 alone, making an important contribution to ensuring safe and reliable power supply, improving the quality of electricity to serve the socio-economic development and people's lives in 21 southern provinces and cities. In December 2024, EVNSPC will continue to resolutely implement the management, direction and supervision of investment and construction, to energize 17 more key power projects, completing the 2024 plan targets.
